The stunning open world in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered does not, unfortunately, support a dynamic day/night cycle. However, the game does feature a dynamic weather system.
Having said that, you do have the option to manually change the time of day as well as the weather in order to create an atmosphere that fits your current disposition.
In Spider-Man Remastered, you can manipulate both the time and the weather by following the instructions in the following guide.
How To Change The Time & Weather
You will not be able to access the feature that allows you to change the time until you have completed the primary storyline. This is the first and most important thing to keep in mind. No matter what you do, you will not be able to make it rain without first completing the game.
The main narrative will eventually lead to the completion of a side mission known as “Harry’s Passion Project.” After you have finished this mission, you will have access to a number of Research Stations that are located in various parts of the map.
Each Research Station location provides a side activity in the form of a mini-task that, once completed, awards the player with Research Tokens that can be used to purchase upgrades.
When you have finished clearing out and taking control of a Research Station, a fast travel point will become available to you. When you walk into the Research Station, you will notice a control panel, which is a kind of tablet, sitting on the counter.
To access the control panel settings, you will need to move closer to the panel and press the “Triangle” button. You are going to be given the time along with the current conditions. In addition to that, there is the option to change the time so that it is either day, sunset, or night.
- Day: You will glide across the skyline of New York City just as the first rays of sunlight begin to illuminate the buildings.
- Sunset: You will begin just as the day is drawing to a close and the light in the sky is beginning to fade, in order to facilitate the development of a moody atmosphere.
- Night is the most common time setting chosen by players, making it the most popular option overall. Not only is the moon visible in the night sky, but the entirety of New York City is illuminated as well. When you swing across, the view of the traffic lights below is one of the most breathtaking sights you will ever see.
Following the conclusion of the setting selection process, a brief loading screen will appear. Hold your breath until it’s done, and once it is, head outside to see how the city has evolved.
Once more, despite the fact that you will have early access to Research Stations, you will not be able to alter the time of day until the main story has been completed.
Additionally, switching to the night mode in Spider-Man Remastered will alter the weather conditions so that it will begin to rain. That is merely one more factor that contributes to the widespread adoration of this location.
